First LSC victory of the season: we defeated Boca Raton Juniors playing an away match

GREAT PERFORMANCE BY THE NEW REFURBISHED PREMIER TEAM

On Sunday, February 7Th, 2021 we played the second round of the winter season. We are rebuilding and still fighting the problems with the pandemic and social distancing. We visited Boca Raton Juniors SC at South County Regional Park for an early morning match. We were very short of personnel but manage to have 11 players on the field. The team performed brilliantly against a well-coached and trained group of young Brazilian players. Boca Raton Juniors dominated the game in both halves but our defense was able to negate then any scoring opportunity. In the second half we suffered a sendoff due to a second caution to Cristian Morales. Despite the fact that we played short 2 men since Andres Watson (“Cali”) was limping due to muscular overload and we didn’t have any substitutions available, we managed to create two goal scoring opportunities: we missed to finished the first one but at minute 81:30 our Right back Josh Itty sent the ball to the back of the net of the Boca team. The reminder of the match was controlling the pace and avoiding making mistakes. The match finished 1-0 in our favor!!!
